Who is Selim de Somavilla
Born and based in Barcelona, Selim de Somavilla is formed as a fashion designer in this city and London. In 2005 he graduated in the Catalan capital and becomes a part of martin Lamothe’s team during two collections. The British capital offers a new look, maturity and perspective for his future projects devoted to men’s fashion in his studies in lcf and work at the Rodnik band brand. The man that he dresses knows no limitations. He’s a man with refined tastes that likes to be well dressed with a certain air of melancholy without losing virility despite the important unisex influence. De Somavilla gives essential importance to a “total” outfit idea in his collections designing also bags, shoes and jewellery.
In early 2012 shows his collection entitled maelstrøm was showed at the fall-winter ’12 edition of Valencia fashion week and in move Sevilla.
In September of the same year, he showed knockout in Barcelona, a proposal for spring-summer ’13 during the Bosson festival.
In early 2013 collaborates doing bags for Escorpion at 080 Barcelona fashion.
In July of the same year, he shows again during 080 Barcelona fashion but this time with his own collection entitled three thousand words. The jury awarded him a special mention as “the best spring-summer collection ’14″ of that edition.
