Eye-wear has been my most successful marketing platform when it comes to my personal style since 2012, it is why I started Gracie Opulanza. More and more I am scouting vintage shops or stores that are selling one off eye wear that no longer are trending or just can’t be sold. So whilst in Manchester doing my Luxury Week for MenStyleFashion I found these sunglasses. Now as you all no I convert sunglasses to normal eye-wear, the reason I do it is I find the frame is chunky and the statement is more exaggerated and appeals to my eccentric personality.
Linda Farrow – Savile Row Limited Edition
I am a huge fan of this designer when it comes to her eye – wear. So whilst scouting through TK Maxx, which is a great place to find one off unique top brands for eye-wear I came across these. I am a big lover of leather and saw these oversize sunglasses. I instantly knew they were my next oversize, converted master piece. They were originally over size sunglasses and I converted them to optical eye-wear. Due to the leather straps they are very comfortable and they are my biggest oversize statement yet.
The first time I went public with these was with a selfie of me and David Gandy back in June 2016. Not bad way to get them noticed.
On the same day, I then went to the Dorchester in Mayfair for lunch and Champagne.
Then ended the day at Joshua Kane menswear catwalk.
Tour De France 2016 – Interviews
I decided to wear them whilst interviewing the team members from Giant Alpecin last week. The instant response I got from these riders was super cool. So what better way to kick of the interview with the winner for the Andorra section Tom Dumoulin.
Interviewing Simon and talking about beard trends served well, when it came to showcasing my eye-wear trends.
So if you’re looking for new oversize eye-wear then be inspired and don’t be afraid to showcase your eccentric side.
