After your big day. What do you do with your dress that you’ve dreamt of having all your life? What can you do to make sure that experience can be relived again? Your actual wedding day for most is one big blur and stress. Most of the time there are things you just want to redo let alone do differently. So why not wear that dress again. But this time just being you and no one else.
Selling Your Wedding Dress is It Worth It?
Most of us just end up putting it away and never been able to fit into it again. But for others, they try to sell it off. Who wants to wear another bride’s wedding dress anyway? So some of us give it to charity. After many years some of us still have it in our wardrobe for whatever sentimental reason. For me, I designed my dress and the wedding designer adored it so much she bought it back from me. I figured early on it’s best to give it to a good cause. So the dress I am wearing is from a charity shop for a mere £20.
The Big Day
My wedding day was minus 6 and snowing so the shoot was quick, cold and I have to say not what I anticipated. So thanks to Maria Scard Photography. I slapped on a lot of makeup on and we did what we do best. Get out and shoot and have some fun. I have to say the looks and response I got was so funny. I did not think about it at the time but hey they thought I was getting married. It was my big day and this time, the whole streets of Hove were going to know about it. So I literally jumped, run and even sprinted in that dress. Well, why not. It was my big day.
Be Creative
This is the day you are going to do everything you could not do on your actual day. Be you, be free and work it baby. Strike a pose in the best way you know how. Lap all the attention around you. Don’t worry if your dress gets dirty and go nuts. This shoot was done many months ago and I was a few kilos bigger. So ladies what are you waiting for getting that dress on and go for it? If you don’t fit in it any-more. Go to a charity shop and buy the dress you want to wear and have fun.
