Ladies don’t need a lot of options, they just need the right options. We all know how relatively easy it is to pull off neutral looks made up of black, white, navy, beige and grey, but if you really want to stand out from the pack, it’s time to start embracing bolder hues.
Mustard is so popular here in Italy. It looks amazing in summer and how the ladies are choosing to wear it is why I had to write about it. My images of women here in Venice.
Mustard For Winter
I am wearing mustard for winter blues. In Lucca, Tuscany it matches the decor of the city and villas. Mustard at age fifty is a fantastic colour to embrace. When we age stronger colours make us look younger.
My handbag is made in Italy and I teamed it with Jil Sander wool dress.
Mustard Trousers
HIgh waisted trousers with a white blouse a cream bag and mustard Hermes flats is why she is trending soft glamour here in Venice. With that super jet long black hair. She just looked wonderful
Opt for linen or silk during the warmer months. You can try a flattering high waisted fit or even short flared pants.
Don’t Wear Yellow
You can tone down the yellow by wearing them with neutral colors such as black or white. But you can also mix it up with pink and purple. Don’t wear mustard with yellow, it’s very draining on any skin type.
Mustard T-Shirt
Mustard and black team well. So a mustard shirt with high waisted shorts is a nice summer casual look. With flat white converse, it gives a sporty image. Team it with aviators and you are ready to jump on board the Riva speedboat.
Mustard Shorts
Mustard shorts with paisley mustard and pink blouse look summer chic. On this occasion a stretch mustard denim teamed with mustard wedges looks fabulous. Don’t forget to double up on your handbags too.
Dark Accessories
Mustard teams well with dark browns. It brings out the colour even more. It also looks fabulous in pink.
You can opt for a mustard patent leather belt and matching pointed pumps. Like Charlotte has in the latest Sex and The City comeback.
Mustard Tote Bag
Mustard as a tote bag or a handbag looks wonderful with a dark blue dress. Keep your accessories to a bare minimum as mustard is a powerful colour.
Floral Mustard Blouse
Mustard is strong amongst the Asian culture. It looks fabulous as a kimono too. Team it with white Capri trousers with mustard flats and you are summer ready for Forte Dei Marmi here in Italy. Mustard with floral prints looks very elegant indeed.
Silk Mustard
Mustard in silk is divine. It’s super elegant, soft and wonderful to wear even at home. Team it with a nice velvet ice bluo robe and you have the perfect stay home glamour wear.
I am finding silk dresses are worn during summer it is wonderful in the summer to look effortlessly cool.
Eyewear
Wear brown, tortoiseshell or gold eyewear this goes well with mustard. Gold earings look fabulous with mustard.
Mustard Trench
A nice mustard trench is perfect for winter blues. When I reviewed the Bentley Bentayga, it looked fabulous with the Dove grey SUV.
Trainers
Opt for wedge trainers with some bright colours. Mustard works well with these contrasts.
