The persimmon is the edible fruit of a number of species of trees in the genus Diospyros. The most widely cultivated of these is the Asian or Japanese persimmon, Diospyros kaki. Diospyros is in the family Ebenaceae, and a number of non-persimmon species of the genus are grown for ebony timber.

At Fattoria Mansi Bernardini I am surrounded by many persimmon trees. They look beautiful because it is such a rich orange colour.  I am truly living the everyday opulent lifestyle here in Tuscany.

What Does A Permissions Taste Like?

Persimmons taste like no other fruit. They have a silky, slippery texture and taste kind of like the fabulous fruity mango. They are rich and tangy and sweet, all at the same time. You must eat them when they are fully ripe.

Otherwise, it leaves a bittersweet horrible velvet texture taste in your mouth.

The richness of the trees alone are just gorgeous to look at. I have been glazing up for months at them. Orange is one of my favourite fashion colours.

Japanese Persimmon Art

With access to so many Persimmons. I decided to turn some into an organic interior design feature. Dry them out and see what happens. Using a coat hanger and some string here is the end result.

Persimmons As Jam

I also decided to use them as a display for jam and mix them with other fruits. They are just as powerful as a display of opulence here in my Villa.
