The 25-year-old Sharapova had the experience of winning three Grand Slam titles and has just been assured of regaining the world No. 1 spot. Her global superstar status has made her the biggest-earning sportswoman on earth. Russia’s Maria Sharapova became the 10th woman in tennis history to win all four Grand Slam titles on Saturday when she defeated Sara Errani of Italy 6-3, 6-2 in the French Open final. Undeniably tennis fashion over the years for women has come along way. Maria certainly does not fit the mould when it comes to on court tennis outfits. Her feminine natural look on court is always a winner. She loves wearing long earrings on court and how cool does it look. She is not afraid to push the boundaries when it comes to unique outfits. My favourite was the tuxedo top she wore on court in Australia. Her long blonde hair looks perfect and chic. Her presence on court is elegant and I love watching her flying around on that court.
Maria Sharapova is an example where tennis meets fashion. Her looking so amazing just makes us all want to go and run to the tennis court or the gym. Nike has embraced a winner here when it comes to her modelling its latest sports wear which tennis is so famous for. Tennis fashion this year is getting a whole lot hotter and all the top sports labels are embracing it. Tennis is a fabulous example of witnessing women in sport looking like women. I wish other sports were like that.
