Whilst staying in Mayfair at a hotel in London, I decided to use the balcony as a backdrop for showcasing some fashion. Hotels are a fabulous way to present a new collection. Using the hotel as a background message to convey that your collection is stress-free and fun. I was able to do this shoot effortlessly whilst being able to think about what gave me the confidence to wear someone else’s collection. It is very stressful to be modelling a collection when the designer is not there. But as I am a trendsetter, once I got into the flow there was no stopping me. Use your hotel space for Instagram and tik tok as it means you can change without feeling exhausted.
How To Choose Your Style
When modelling for someone’s collection it is always trying to find that balance between what suits your personality without compromising their overall message. For me, on this occasion, I teamed the collection with my very own accessories. So it gave me the edge I needed to get into the role of playfulness.
Choosing Your Shoes
I teamed it with platform colourful boots. To give me height and also an edgy modern look. This collection fabric was easy to modelling in and made me feel very funky. My personal touch was my knee high socks which I love to trend all year round.
On this occasion, I opted for a bob. Bobs are timeless and match any type of collection and with cuts like the jackets and dresses it worked very well to give an edgy vibe.
This design was very angular I wanted to also add my signature eyewear to this collection so it represented my lifestyle and style. Eyewear gives the collection a very different vibe. Regarding the jewellery, I chose to wear. Looking back I did not need to wear anything on my arms. As the print was very busy on its own.
The jackets in this collection give the overall finish a more casual one. Jackets are timeless in any wardrobe for any age. Noticed with the jacket I took my eyewear off. let your jacket do the talking.
Sleeveless dresses are great for layering. This dress with its high collar suits my bold personality. It teamed well with the bomber jacket and also leather jackets.
This leather biker jacket looked fabulous with this collection. Again belonging to my existing wardrobe to make sure the photoshoot was all about my styling too.
Long Sleeve Dresses
Long sleeve dress is well suited for me. As my upper body is large and my exposed arms are not flattering at all. This fabric was very thin and moved with my animated personality.
The print was very futuristic. So mix and match with prints worker very well. The base colour blue gave it a colourful balance. Which also matched my personality. This very versatile collection really had so many modern messages for me whilst turning forty.
It is all about how the clothes empower you. Make sure you have food and water during your photoshoots. As it becomes very exhausting when changing clothes and looking your best.
